We've made Photo Evidence even more flexible! Managers can now decide when their team needs to add photos to food safety tasks in the Kitchen App.
Previously, Photo Evidence was only available on selected task templates. Now, you can enable it for a variety of tasks, choose whether photos are optional or required, or switch it off completely.
Whether it's a photo of a thermometer reading or evidence of a maintenance issue, you can decide where photos would be most useful for your venue.
You can now choose from three Photo Evidence settings for each task:
This means you can tailor your food safety tasks to how your kitchen operates, without asking staff to take unnecessary photos.
It's easy to update existing tasks or enable Photo Evidence when creating new ones.
Your chosen settings will determine whether your team can, or must, add photos when completing that task in the Kitchen App.
Photo Evidence is now available on almost all task types, with a couple of exceptions.
Tasks that use lists and system tasks (system tasks are the tasks you can't see or edit in Task Manager but appear in the Kitchen App), such as checklists, Fridge Temperature tasks, Recalls and Complaints, don't currently support Photo Evidence.
We're continuing to improve the feature, so keep an eye out for future updates.
Every kitchen operates differently, and not every task needs a photo.
By putting Photo Evidence settings in the hands of managers, you can choose when additional evidence is helpful, when it's essential and when it's simply not needed.
Any photos captured by your team can still be viewed in Venue Activity in ChompHQ, or under Alerts if an issue has been triggered. You can also choose whether to include photos in your Audit Report by toggling individual photos on/off from your Activity page in ChompHQ.
